Took my new EAA Witness .45 to the range today and had something happen I have heard of, but have never seen before.
About half way through a mag of my pet handload that uses a 200 gn LSWC hard cast bullet, a stoppage occurred in which an unfired round was sticking straight up, fully out of the mag. This round was pinched between the barrel throat and the breech face. I extracted this round, reinserted it into the mag, and it fed and fired fine.
In 125 rounds, this was my only problem. Gun and mag are new, mag was clean with no binding or sticking noted. Is this a weak mag spring issue?
