Can anyone help me, I let the darn paperwork blow away as I moved the safe home from Sam's Club. Now the safe door is open, I have no light on keypad. What next? Do I need a battery installed, if so how?? I have a fax if you can fax the info to me.
Thanks, for any assistance.

If your lock is a LaGard (LG) then the pad will slide upwards releasing it from the screws on the door.

If your lock is a S&G, then you should see a yellow tag hanging beneath the lock. Pull on this and the battery compartment should open up.

Both locks use 9 volt batteries and come factory set to 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6. On the S&G you have to hit # after entering the combo.

Great, I now have battery in and lock works well. It is an LG lock. Now, how do I put in my own combination?

Six Zeros Places Lock In Programming Mode

1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6
Enter Your Existing Combo

Enter New Six Digit Combo

? - ? - ? - ? - ? - ?
Repeat New Six Digit Combo

Do this with the door open, and make sure the lock operates properly before closing the door and using the safe.
