I embarrassed to say this, but for years I've looked at rifles at sporting good stores and saw rifles with no magazine. I've always thought they were single shot rifles. Then I read about top loading magazines and thought, WOW, how many of these rifles had an internal magazine.
My question: Do these internal Magazines load just like a normal magazine except you load it from the top? Or is there a special way to load these?

If they are MilSurp rifles then they most likely use stripper clips to load the magazine though they can still be loaded with single cartridges. This picture does a good job of demonstrating how you use a stripper clip, just push down with your finger on the top cartridge and then remove the clip.

If they are commercial rifles then they will load once cartridge at a time from the top, just like you load any other rifle magazine.
