I am shipping an AR upper can I include some ammo in the same box? I can't ship ammo through the post office either right? So would UPS be the best bet? Thanks in advance.

Any package with ammo in it has to have the ORM-D sticker .... correct, no USPS, go with UPS.

3pairs12,
We had a good thread on shipping ammo (http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=401712&highlight=ORM-D) that you might search out, but Canuck-IL has the short form. You have to ship ammo as hazmat, but with the ORM-D limited quantity exception you don't end up getting hammered with the hazmat fee. Just make sure the outer package has the sticker on it.

And to answer the original question, yes, since the upper isn't considered a firearm, it's ok to be in the same shipment.
