Since I have been in KelTec country (Florida) for weeks on a business trip, I spent time at gun shops and shows and ranges. Fired a submachine gun here, but the derned MP-5 jammed every 6 or 7 rounds. Anyway, I've seen three of Kel Tec's new .380 shooter and talked to 2 owners about theirs. What they all have in common is that the slide doesn't lock back on an empty magazine, either when it is hand-cycled or actually shot until magazine is empty.
My view is that this is not a good feature and who wants to have an empty gun in a shooting situation, and not know it. Those that have asked real gunfight survivors find that people just can't count the shots in the middle of a fight-for-your-life encounter. Heck, even Clint got confused! "How many did I fire? Do you feel lucky?"
