I have an Astra Constable with cancer (spot rust, no pitting). I bought the gun a month ago for $150. and shot it for the first time yesterday. I was planning on paying to have the gun refinished but I don't think it's worth the cost. The gun is built like a tank for a .22 and I would like to use it for my first project gun in years. My questions are

1) how do you remove the extractor?
2) what "at home finish" do you guys use? A guncote type
3) how is the extractor adjusted
4) What the typical cost is w/o DIY labor

I had an Astra years ago but traded it off. I could not find anything on the disassembly but I found a parts breakdown diagram that might help.

Thanks, that helps more than you know. I was wondering how the barrel removed also.
