What is best deal on .357 bullets 140 or more?

I am looking for cheap plinking ammo ( From a 6 GP100 )

This is best deal I have come across so far ( 105$/2000 plus postage ) looks on the messy side but i could probably live with that.

Does any one know of a better deal anyplace?

A little cheaper than Midway, probably save quite a bit on shipping.

How about a 20.00 mould, 20.00 melter, and 1.00/lb ww's from evilbay? If you have the time to do it and basic skills, it's a whole lot cheaper.

Well, it sort of depends on whether you're looking for wadcutters or not. Some guys worth a close look are (in no particular order) that are worthy: Grafs (www.grafs.com) Midsouth Shooters Supply, powdervalleyinc, Matt at SILVERADO00@peoplepc.com, Mike at www.mastercastbullets.com, James at jamesziegler@cox.net, Gerry at geraldallred@msn.com, Matt at dardascastbullets.com, Robert at pennbullets.com. I'd buy from any of them before I'd go to Midwayusa. Midway does stock and move a lot of stuff, but I've been burned on shipping too many times to be happy with them.

Before you go buying on the net, check the name here:scrutiny: - the guys above have really good comments here - and the bad guys:fire:, whom I will not mention, are disclosed here, too.

Those are all better deals than midway! Thanks all. ( Maybe midway should spend less money on all those commercials & lower thier prices instead )

I like the Missouri bullets. Good guy to deal with too!

My cheap bullets are from Roze Distributing. They sell the Zero brand bullet. Powder Valley caries them too. When I was getting them from Roze I was paying like $78 bucks a thou. Free shipping on orders 1 thou and more plus no tax. I like the 158 Semi JHP. These look a lot like the ones Winchester uses or used to. You can load them hot to if you want because there not lead or plated.

You do *not* want to use those Remmy bullets. I have 175 still in boxes and will use them only if I run out of all other bullets and the zombies are coming. They are very dirty to load. That black, flaky stuff gets all over your dies. The skirt (bottom) of the bullet is flared so much that I always wind up shaving them while pressing them into the case.

I've been using Missouri Bullets since last spring and enjoy them a great deal. I got a deal on a box of Speer last summer that are also good.

Those Remingtons are not worth the savings - even if they are on sale sometime.

The Remington swaged 148 grain Hollow Base Wad Cutter bullet, while being ugly, is one of the most accurate .38 target bullets on the market. When I was shooting PPC, it was the preferred bullet, especially at the 50 yard line. You just have to know how to load them.......

Hope this helps.
