DAMN!

The elevator for the rear sight on my W94 fell off. It's not a really big deal because the sucker has always shot high and I've always had the thing at the lowest point possible anyway but it's annoying as hell (and makes me wonder if I'll ever buy another winchester).

Anyway I'd like some recommendations for replacement iron sights for a Win Model 94 side eject. Something SASS legal with info on where I can buy them and about how much it'd cost to get them installed.

All input appreciated.

Go to www.brownells.com They sell original and aftermarket sights for your Winchester.
Good shooting, John K

I replaced mine with a semi-buckhorn. Took my rifle in to the shop and bought the sight; the smith switched it for me, no charge because I'd bought the sight from him. Took 2 minutes.

If you want to do it yourself, go to Brownells catalog, order. Tap out (remember, right - in, left - out) old, tap in new.

I believe they're all standardized dove-tails, but check to make sure.

I don't know about the SASS part but a wiliams peep sight out of brownells works for me.

The folks over at www.marblesoutdoors.com can fix you right up. I've installed their full buckhorn rear sights and gold bead fronts on a couple of my lever actions. Quatity stuff, that works great!!

Good Luck...

Marbles looks great - unfortunately you can't mail order from them and they only have two dealers in Oklahoma and neither of them is in Oklahoma City.

Their tang peep sight looks like just what I'm looking for.

Joe,
I found the peep sight you recommended by Marbles at Midway. More expensive than I thought but on sale now for $94 vice the normal $124.

there is little info on them. How and where do they install. I checked out my Win M94 and I don't see a place to bolt the tang peep sight to.

How does it work. Do you have to drill and tap the tang to mount the sight?

Thanks for any info you can provide.
