Who makes speed strips and where can I find some? I am looking for 6 round speed strips that will hold .38 Spcl. for a S&W M10.

Also, as far as speed loaders are concerned, is HKS the only game in town or are there other makes I should know about?

Thanks.

I think www.MidwayUSA.com sells Speed Strips too.

And I really prefer Safariland Comp II Speedloaders to the HKS. With a bit of practice, the Comp II's are very smooth, fast, and sure. The Comp II's have grooves that let you line up your fingers with the cylinder grooves for a quicker reload. This is quicker than it sounds, and makes the reload noticably faster than the HKS system.

I too, like Safariland speedloaders over HKS. Beside faster/smoother reloading. The Safariland loaders are smaller/shorter once loaded, thus taking, up less space. Plus I've never had a Safariland speedloader dump it's rounds in my holder, unlike HKS.

Side note; I have a S&W L frame. My brother has a Ruger SP 101. I've never had this problem with my speedloaders, but he has had with his, The rim of the cartidge was to thick to get the speedloader to lock easily. He did get it to lock, but was difficult. That depends on the ammo you'll be useing.

I actually found speed strips in one of the local gunshops that I frequent.

First time I've ever found them in a gunshop.
