Ive been curious, has anyone experimented with loading them into metalic cartridges? seems a good way to get more bp into a cartridge case without using a drop tube.

Never tried it, but sounds interesting. I've got a bunch laying around somewhere. They'd be a mite small for .45 Colt, but I'd reckon that hollowbase would take up any slack.
I also remember reading that the T/C .45 caliber MaxiBall works great in .45 Colt, and carries a whole lot more lube than most cast bullets.
