After reading many informative posts (many thanks to cb900f, aiabdj, and others), I am now totally confused as to which safe to purchase. I was set on the Graffunder Bishop B6032 but am now wondering if the price of this safe may be better spent on the less expensive (but apparently high quality) Champion Crown or Summit Everest in approximately the same size. Specifically, what is the best value of these three units? Is an AMSEC safe a viable option as far as price and quality in the same size? I know a lot of the answers to these questions directly relate to what one's uses for a safe is, however I wish to know the opinions as they relate directly to price versus quality. Thanks for everyone's input.

The Graffunder would probably have the highest attention paid to detail when compared to the Champion, Summit, or AMSEC.

However, the Graffunder is a safe, and the Champion and Summits are not (although the Summit is starting to get close). You certainly get what you pay for in this case.

You could also opt for a burglary rated commercial safe, and install your own interior. Probably in the same price range, but with much better burglary and fire protection.

Commercial safes are also designed for a bit more abuse than your average gun safe.

Thank you for your input. I was thoroughly impressed with the Graffunder and have not seen any other "safe" come close to its quality. The one issue is you are definitely paying for that quality. Which can bring you to the question of; is it overkill? Of course that opens a can of worms, and I think that has been discussed on this forum from all aspects.

Does your company/site sell any of these brands, and if so, are they deliverable to Northern Virginia? Or should I look for a local seller of these particular brands.
