I finally bought my first Centennial model almost two weeks ago. Now that I've lived with it for a little while, you guys who said I'd love it were right. The high grip IS great and when I wear the 642 on my ankle, there's just nothing to get dirty. I was always blowing lint and dust out of the hammer area on my other .38's after ankle carry. I reckon I'm a Centennial "convert". At first it seemed odd not to have a hammer, but now that I've grown used to it, I carry it in some manner every day. I've still got a call in to my gun shop about the 65LS and a Dan Wesson stainless steel Patriot, but I've got to admit that the 642 is a really comfortable revolver. No hammer stabs my leg or my...ahem~"love handles". :) That reminds me...do any of you think those MIM hammer spurs are sharper? They sure feel like it to me.

Good choice ;) It's funny that more shooters haven't discovered these little wonders!
