Are King Cobras jumping up in price just like Pythons? I did a search on Gunbroker and aucton arms and they are in the $600-$1,000 price range. I bought a new in the box never fired four inch stainless today and based on those prices it was a steal.

Yes they are up in price, around $750 or so in general.

They are and have been on the up since the announcement from Colt saying the are no longer making any Double Action revolvers.
The Python took off in price and since the Python prices pushed some people out of that market, others wanted some Colt double action snake in their collection so the next way to go was with the King Cobra.
Demand for those rose and so did the prices.
Honestly they have actually settled down from what I've been following.
the tough King Cobra's will always demand more money, such as the Combat Cobra, Custom Cobra and any of your Bright or ultimate stainless finish King Cobras.

I don't see too many offered for sale around here, but the few that I've seen are usually in the $800+ range in like new condition.

It's amazing to me, they have the same action as a trooper or mkIII and nothing like the python. IMHO the trigger pull is too long and not smooth at all but they are still getting a higher price. Of course I also think the python is over rated also. Don't get me wrong I like mine but I put it in the same league as a model 19 smith and wesson on fit and finish and strength.

WOW! Thanks for the info guys. For $100 NIB I guess I shouldve been wearing a ski mask.

My dad bought this one for $650 two years ago. He gave it to me this christmas. The trigger is like butter and nary a scratch on her. I love this revolver.
