RB or SB? Fixed or adjustable? Flat latch? Original grips? Box? If so, what kind of box? ;)

Hey-Hey-Hey
Tam's right again, as all those variables can dictate price;
along with the pieces condition of course! I'd be willing
to bet that since Smith' ain't making square butt weapons
any more; an older model in pristine condition would cost
a bundle?

My step dad picked one up this week for $100, so I guess what ever configuration it is he didn't get hurt in the deal.

Now if I can get it from him for say, $110 or $125 it will be an even better deal. Because now it would be mine!

I bought a nickel-plated 1971 Model 36 (no dash) with a 3" barrel and round grip for $300.00 a few months ago from a shop here in the Detroit area. It needed some interior clean-up and new springs, but the finish and function is perfect.

Hey Pumpkin-
All jokes aside, the Smith & Wesson model 36 is one very
fine firearm. Since 1970, I've owned several including 3
incher's, 2" nickel, round butter's, and square butter's;
but one that has always eluded me, was the S&W
model 50 which is a target sighted 2 incher. Price on
these baby's is out-of-sight!:uhoh: :D
Currently, I'm on my 3rd S&W model 60 (old model) in
.38 Special with a pinned barrel; and a "R" serial #
prefix. Its the stainless steel counterpart of the model
36. This one is out-fitted with a set of Hogue's "Bantam"
grip's; as I elected to preserve the original walnut grips
with the S&W monogram.
