I'm going to shoot some different smoothbore slugs from my A5. It has a modified choke. Is that ok or does it not matter?

It may not get the best accuracy possible, but exceptions abound.
You won't hurt anything on your shotgun testing some slugs. Stick with rifled slugs and Brenekkes, sabots are for fully rifled barrels.

My NEF single shot is a modified, and shoots slugs fine. Maybe it is a exception, because it is actually quite accurate.

My RS slug barrel came with a fixed Improved Cylinder.
