A guy down the street has an FEG .45 acp pistol for sale for $225. I haven't seen it yet but he (of course) says "it's in great shape". He's not much of a 'gun guy' so I'm reserving opinion until I see it. Any opinions, information, or advice about this weapon would be much appreciated. One of my son's friends has an FEG 9mm that looks like a Hi-Power clone. It seems pretty stout and generally well-made but I haven't shot it. I've never seen an FEG other than that one. What about extra magazines, springs, etc?

One of my out of town friends visited a couple years ago and brought one with him.It looks similiar to a HiPower but is DA/SA.We took it out to the desert and tried it out.It was reliable(we only shot ball) and seemed well made.If memory serves me correctly it used 1911 mags.He also commented he paid $240 new for it.CW

Here's the FEG 45 "Hi Power" for sale at SOG. Can't comment, never seen one first hand.

The FEG 45 is more like a SW auto than a Hi-power. FEG did/does make a true 9mm Hi-power clone but that has nothing to do with the DA/SA designed guns.
Fit and finish is generally not up to US standards, but they DO work. Price is right if its seen little use, you could offer $200 if you feel its scratched up.
