I am looking at a 700 BDL 308 in a Choate stock, looks to be in very good cond, said to be low round count. With my shipping and FFL, I am going to be in the 850 to 900$ range. What do you think?
Also, just to make sure, does the 700 BDL have a front sight or no. The pic I am looking at does not have one, and my son thought the BDL did have one. So, you can see we need a little advice. Thanks

The new BDL doen't even come in .308 any more, but the CDL with "no rifle sights" does. The CDL has a 24" barrel, the BDL (which up to recently was available in .308, I believe) comes in 22" barrel. The price you quote for a used Rem BDL sound quite high to me and also higher than I'd expect to pay NIB in most places(most times MSRP is discounted on such rifles). MSRP on a new BDL is $900.
I've purchased numerous rifles, both used and NIB from internet sales sites and overall have been VERY happy with the results. To me, however, this price is unusually high for that particular rifle.
