The Times article is about the proliferation of introduced NA Gray Squirrels in Britain, taking over the habitat from their beloved Red Squirrels.

The solution: eat the Gray Squirrels. Big PR campaign is working, and now stores are having a hard time keeping up with the demand.

Here's the article: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/07/dining/07squirrel.html

Tree rats are great eating. Good to see city slickers figuring that out. :D

1. Who reads the NYT? Not too many people any more, especially in New York. Looks like leftie wannabe-sophisticates will be their only remaining market, soon. Of course, if New Yorkers aren't reading it, where's the cachet?:)

2. Lots of people on Wall Street probably want to know about alternative protein sources these days.

Now you see what drove the vast English Imperial expansion: Good food. Curry in India, Poppies in Afghanistan and China.

Who reads the NYT? I do, on line for free.

Maybe that's why circulation is down. What else am I supposed to read, the NY Post? :barf: The Enquirer laughs at the Post!

Every so often the Times comes up with an interesting article like this.

Uh, I read the Wall Street Journal, because nothing that happens in New York, apart from what the WSJ covers, matters to me.

The NYT was completely finished for me when we took a cruise and got a digest daily at our door. Every single issue looked like an Obama campaign ad. We're not even talking bias here. There's not a trustworthy bit of news in the NYT.

Note that I didn't say it's all wrong, or all lies. I just have no reason to believe anything I read there, so what's the point of reading it? I'm not in a hospital bed, in traction, or anything like that, thank God.

OK, I understand that what happens in NY doesn't matter to you, but the Times is my local paper.

By the way, if you look in my post from yesterday here in the hunting section, there's also a nice article on bow hunting from, yes again, the NY Times.

I deliver for the Port Lavaca Wave. What, you don't take the Wave???? :D I don't read them big city papers, well, the Victoria Advocate once in a while. :D

Sorta reminds me when they asked Sarah Palin what papers she read. I don't think she wanted to admit to reading the Wassila paper. ROFL!
