Where is the best place to buy 7 and 8 round mags for a 1911?
Who has good quality, cheap?

They had some that look like McCormick Power Mags. I change out the base pads, but it's not necessary to do so. The link below takes you to that specific magazine. Altho it's currently out of stock....:(

Midway is another great place. They have Springfield(Metalform) 7 rounders on sale for 12.50 blued/13.50 SS. They are backordered now but will be back in stock soon.

I have had good luck with MecGars and they are reasonably priced. I think I bought them from CDNN.

Can someone please give the Brownells part number for the Colt hybrid feed lip mags? I'm having a hard time navigating their site.

AdamH, The following are excerpts from Brownells' pages.
You want the Colt 7 rounders to get the hybrid feed lips. The Colt 8 rounders are the same as McCormick Shooting Stars with wad cutter feed lips.

brownells (if you have a user name and password stuff is cheaper)
midwayusa, they run specials every once in a while. Look for chip mags.
