Gents,
You got to check this out.
You can't go wrong with this compact 9mm.
You can use CZ 75 compact .40 cal mags and hold 14 rounds of 9mm.
900 rounds thru it w/o a hick up.
Inexpensive compared to other "hi end" pistols. SWEET trigger too.

This is almost getting cliche. I think what I want to hear is someone who gets a CZ and is disappointed or only got what he/she expected.:D

Actually, I know that happens too. Not everyone hits a home run everytime. However, it sure seems that a bad CZ experience is quite rare.

I love my CZ 75B- accurate, reliable, well made, fits my hand like a glove and inexpensive. What's not to love. I wish I could like the P01 because I'm sure it is a great gun, I just don't like the full length frame on the CZ 75 design. I guess I'll just have to settle for a steel frame Compact or look for a used PCR when I go with a smaller CZ 75.

But why the decocker? C&L is one of the best features of the CZ-75.

I couldnt agree more.....CZF shhh. Ill let you in on something....There still a secret...just not near as big as they USED to be......:D  And its YOUR FAULT!

Glad you like your gun...my fav the PCR is the daddy to the PO1. Same gun with out the bells and whistles rail and a couple of other differences. This will be my primary carry for as long as it lasts and Ill get another if this one ever dies.....LOL

PO1's are gaining alot of popularity...Im making lots of holsters for people just like you.

Enjoy your gun.........Shoot well.

CZ had plans for making one earlier, so mags were made. Plus they will fit the currently made EAA .40 cal compact.
They are just called "CZ 75 .40 cal compact" on the PRO MAG website. promagindustries.com

Here's a less than happy CZ story for you.

In my experience CZ 75 triggers are hit or miss. I looked at a new-in-box PCR at a show last year that had a perfect trigger in both DA and SA. It had a smooth DA and crisp SA with little take-up or over-travel. I regretted not buying it so I ordered one through my local dealer. The one I received was the worst CZ 75 trigger I have encountered. It had a gritty DA that was hard to control and the SA was horrible with lots of over-travel and take-up and a spongy release. I got rid of it. I do not think the bad PCR trigger is rare these days either. I looked at three at a show last weekend and they were all close to the bad one I had, though not quite as bad. The dealer I talked to (he’s the one who had the cherry PCR last year) said the newer production run(s) of the PCR do not compare to previous runs as far as trigger action is concerned. I would agree with him.

With that said I have other CZs and have no complaints. I especially like my 97.

I've handled the P01 at a gun show and was turned off by the trigger.

Ive got news for you guys....If you have the patience to run around 3-500 rnds through them..the trigger is like night and day.

On that note...I do agree the newer ones are not like the ones a couple of years ago.

But if you shoot them a little...they get way better way fast.

Shoot well.

USE them. My P01 came with 4 dummy rounds made of plastic. So if you think you can't wait to get to the range, pop one of those dummy rounds in and start pulling the trigger.
My trigger was acceptable from the get go.
Then again, its all personal preference.

Later,
Espi
