I have a friend that I saw in a gunshop here a few days ago and he was shopping an old Colt Woodsman .22 auto pistol in the original box with papers to sell. It had been his father's gun and it looked to me like it was in about 90-95% condition. The store owner wanted to consign it and told my friend he'd get him $350 and keep whatever else he got. I didn't think it was a fair deal and neither did my friend. So, he left and I think he still has the gun. What should I tell him it's worth?

A 95% condition 2nd. or 3rd. Series Woodsman in the box is worth perhaps as much as $600 depending on exact model & barrel length. If it happened to be a 4 1/2" Match Target, you are looking at well over a grand.
A 1st. Series, much more.
Go here, enter Colt Woodsman, then check the "completed in last 90 days" box to get an idea of what they are selling for.
