cz75-bd question

Hello all, I picked up a75-bd(decocker- no safety) a few years ago and it has always functioned 100%. However the trigger has always been strange.

When the trigger is pulled with the hammer cocked there is s slight hitch and click then the hammer drops.

I decided to investigate yesterday (I know I should have done this years ago) and it appears something is contacting the decocker lever enough so that it rises and and drops onto the back of the ejector assembly(where it normally rests). This happens before the firing pin blck lever is activated.

I assume this is not normal. While it does not affect the functioning of the gun it does make the trigger annoying.

Thoughts?

You mean that when you cock the hammer, then pull the trigger, the hammer comes back a hair, then drops?

This is normal for the CZ75 in any flavor. I don't know specifically why, but it is. My 75B does it. I read about it on the czforum.com website.

Don't worry about it. ;)

No ,the hammer moves as you would expect. If the gun is in single action ,on th second shot for ex. As you pull the trigger you can feel a bump and here a click. This is not the hammer moving ,but the decocking lever( inside, not the controlling lever on the outside). Then the firing pin block lever is activated and then the hammer is released as it should be.

It is the bump of the decocking lever I was asking about.

Strange...I cant say its normal. Ive had many CZ decockers that dont do that...but Ive had many CZ's that make a click as you describe. Its a spring releasing....at least in mine it is.
Shoot well
