I have a 1836 Paterson by Uberti without the loading lever attached. I am looking for one with the loading lever. If anyone has a road I might try, I'd really appreciate it. Wyoming Buck.

I didn't think any of the repros came with an attached loading lever. I know few of the originals had them, usually coming with a detached loading lever in the case. Loading levers are usually seen on the short barrel guns, and I don't know of any short barrel repros.

(The detached loading lever was used by removing the barrel then inserting one end into the key cut in the base pin for leverage.)

I'm pretty sure Smokin' Gun on this forum has one with an attached loading lever. Mine has the unattached one - it took some getting used to but now it's one of my favorite guns.

Uberti made them - but are now discontinued. Also, Colt Black Powder Arms (Signature Series) made a limited number of them in both a collector grade and standard Paterson. Really hard to find right now. I saw a consecutive serially numbered set of the Colt Signature Series Standard Patersons sell for $4,000 on Gun Broker a couple of years ago (these also had the loading lever).

The Ubertis show up from time to time on the gun sites and go for around $350-$400.

Have you considered just using a loading stand?
