Anyone have any info on this gun? There is very little to be found but from what i can gather it is a Stevens model 85. I have had it apart and cleaned it and will take it out to put a few rounds through it tomorrow. Are thy accurate? Dependable? Anyone know where to get a scope mount? it has the screws for the scope on the side of the receiver. Here are some photos.....

Yep, it's a Stevens M85. Stevens .22's tend to be reliable and reasonably accurete. However, as with any .22, you'll have to try a box of as many brands as you can to find the ammo it shoots best. All .22's are just like that.
Wouldn't count on finding a scope mount for it though. When it was new, scopes for .22's weren't exactly common. It's entirely possible that a mount would be worth more than the rifle. Collectors are daft creatures.
Nice pictures.

I have one of these also that was given to me by my grandfather. The magazine is on its last leg and I would like to replace it. I think I need a Stevens model 85 mag. Anyone know if this is correct?
