Well, I took my super redhawk 44mag. to the range for the first time. I didn't have time to sight it in, just wanted to see how it shot. I've shot more in the way of 357's over the years from blackhawks and gp100's. I know lots of people say they like the way a single action SBH recoils better, ie. "rolls in the hand", I had a 44 magnum SBH and as much as I like the blackhawks 357, 45's. I personally didn't find it a pleasure to shoot the 44 mag. After shooting the super redhawk with it's 7.5" barrel and 53 oz. of heft, I really see that recoil is subjective, this gun was a pleasure to shoot. I'm ready to go again.

I love my SRH and hunt alot with it. Never found the recoil to be a problem. Also never heard of the SBH recoiling better. In fact I prefer the SRH over the SBH.

It's just like anything else. You have to get use to it. I love to shoot them big guns. The more that you shoot it, the more that you'll like it.
