I am in the military and just got stationed in florida, i am not 21 but want to own a hand gun. I know there are ways to do it, like having a family member buy it or something like that. I want to know the exact ways to do it. I would really appreciate it. Thanks Nick

You cannot purchase from a dealer, nor can you have a relative do the purchase for you (that is a straw purchase). The only way to legally do it is to do a FTF buy.

Or to have it given to you as a GIFT from another Florida resident.

Possession is legal, purchasing it is not.

You can have someone GIFT it to you... but meh. However, you can purchase long guns, no problem.

Purchasing from a same state resident private party IS legal. From an FFL is not.
