Not a Gun Owner BUT:

As I have said here before:

I AM NOT A GUN OWNER BUT:::::::
Something seems to be far out of whack here.
There are 21,243,473 (EPIC Project, July 08, 2003) voters in this country.
Last election only 65% of voters voted. Get your calculator out........

Along comes Canadian Idol and over 3 million people vote.
There are over 7 million gun owners in Canada (UN Survey, 1992).
We would normally assume that these 7 million gun owners want to keep their guns... YET
there are not 7 million votes against C-68 and the lieberals!
What does this mean?????
Well, I guess there are a lot of silent gun owners (the non-voting, non-fighting, part-
of-the-problem freeloaders actually) out there that are
prepared to hand their guns over quietly to be destroyed.

What other conclusion can one come to?
Other than the money being wasted, what the hell should I care
what happens to your guns.
If you 7 million people cannot get off your collective butts and boot
this so called government of lying Liberals out... and elect someone
that will defend your rights and freedoms... give me a reason
why I should get p****d off & bothered to help you! You won't even help yourselves!!!

Do you not realize C 68 goes a lot farther than your gun?
Does anyone else out there think that it is time to call a spade a spade?
If it is not worth fighting for what is the point of a small few working
so hard to help anybody ( read freeloading gun owning chickens ) that won't help
themselves?
Just maybe you will deserve what you have been and continue to get and your elephant tears and whining will be too late!
Thank you CUFOA for keeping up the pace...at least you had the intestinal fortitude to
act on the strength of your convictions!
Another thing that gets me;

Had every gun owner sent $0.25 (a lousy Canadian Chretien- quarter...19 cents U.S. ...) for every gun they own, registered or unregistered,

(Liberals not withstanding, there are 21.5 million guns in Canada (Sol. Gen of Canada & Justice Department 1976 - 1993)...before the Chretien-Rock-Cukier-CFC post-1995 & on remanufacturing of figures)

to the RFC Ottawa Office it would be working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week... for as long as it took to fix the problem (21.5 Million guns x .25 = $5,375,000). We'd be hiring staff for the office instead of discussing events.
Encouragement goes a long way....I guess that can also be said of apathy....

Kind of disjointed, but what the poster says makes sence. Isn't the number I keep hearing here that we have 80,000,000 gun owning American's? That's a mighty big voting block if we can ever all get on the same page...

Of course, that also assumes that we are all one issue voters, and I know from dealing with people at work, that some of my shot gun owning, duck hunting buddies wouldn't vote for a candidate just because of his position on gun ownership.

There are quite a few gun owners who feed at the public trough. That trough is refilled by the same folx that want to restrict gun rights. An example is here in N.E. Pa. where gun stores, gun shows and gun ownership are a way of life. Still, some counties are in the red zone.
