What do you guys think about these two. The kahr looks a little thinner and might be a little easier to conceal. They both look somewhat attractive as a ccw piece but I have heard nothing but good about the cs9. My glock 26 is a liitle hard to conceal due to thickness and I'm concerned the cs9 could be too. But I heard the kahrs have had problems with the polymer models. The kahr looks very nice size wise, weight wise and everything else other than price . What do you guys think???

I am a fan of both manufacturers, and have products from both makers in my collection. I have heard very good things concerning the CS9 design, and Kahr has, I think, finally worked out the bugs in their polymer designs.
The best advice I can give is to find representations of both, shoot them, and go from there. Just based on feel and reputation, the Kahr is a bit thinner and may be a bit easier to conceal.
Do not discount the S&W as being good firearms, because they are in fact very good, they can be over-priced however.
Have fun in your search!
God Bless!

Thanks for the reply Rev. By the way do you or anyone else know if the Cs9 is a striker fired or hammer fired pistol? If it is hammer fired is it internal or external? Again any info would help. Thanks

I also grew tired of the thickness of my G26 and opted for the thinner CS9. My CS9 is not as thin or compact as a Kahr, but it's good enough for government work and conceals very well (I use a Don Hume Yaqui Slide). In fact it's not that much bigger than my Bersa .380acp. And I can shoot the CS9 with better accuracy and speed than a Kahr. So it was a fair trade off for me. I see there are several Chief's Specials on Gunbroker.com and Auctionarms.com for the mid $300's, even a few DAO models.
The CS9 has a bobbed hammer (i.e. hammer fired) and is traditional DA/SA.

I owned a MK-9, it was every bit a quality peice, comparible to Sig. I like S&W as well, but Kahr has em beat, as far as an advanced desighn goes. They squeezed a lot of quality in a tiny package about the size of a walther ppk, with the power of a 9mm/.40. I had bought mine for my wife, and she complained about the butter smooth DAO. :fire: So now she has a glock 26, another fine piece but much fatter/larger. I wish I would have been able to afford keeping the kahr at the time. Go with the kahr, you'll be happy.:D
