B_P_Rob, me too! Don't know that I could throw the thing but it would be cool. I'm digging the Wool Shirt. More I look at it the more I like it.
Has anyone used one of those wool shirts?

Yup I wear shirts like that. It is blanket weight wool, and lighter wool blanket. In colder weather i wear something like it right next to my skin, and if it is colder than that i wear 2 of em and maybe add a oil skin frock which cuts the wind well.
I make these for myself and want to make another one soon. I buy woods color blankets as they come in the local army navy store for the wool. These are pretty easy to make as they are just squares and rectangles shapes.
I have a few other thinner wool weight shirts made the same way too.
The hawk looks pretty good too... but don't expect it to split wood for a fire very well..
Is that the site that was advertsing here?

Macmac, I think the hawk is more for throwing than chopping or used for light duty work.
You have any pics of your self-made shirts?

Cap_Ball, I have no doubt that the hawk will chop and drive stakes and be good as a thrower.. Mostly my comment was made because at events I see people trying to split fire wood with them.
BTW I decied to join the site, as William Three Coons.. :D
i don't have exactly any pics 'modeling' the shirts either.
Perhaps seeing this page over all may help.

And then my friend is wearing one he made. (most central figure, and this is cotton)

I made this one, which is shown on the man 2nd from the far right.

The deal there was everyone else in the picture spoke only French and the only one who spoke both English and French had no clothing to 'field', so I fixed that and gave him to keep every single thing he has on, including mocs, all which I made with these 2 hands..
Most articals I have on in any photo are items I made for myself and my wife, unless the artical is real and antique. Beads for example, or perhaps a gift.
it seems I don't get caught wearing shirts much. :D

Hmmm I have to wonder if this traditional hunting business is just an excuse to carry a purse and wear a dress ;-)
Not that I don't want one myself
