Old Bushnell Banner 1.75 - 4.5 x 20mm

My dad just gave me a scope he's had sitting around for a while. Its a Bushnell Banner 71-3104 1.75x - 4x 20mm Wide Angle. He paid $85 for it back in 1982. I don't think it's ever been mounted. Any thoughts on this?

Use it and enjoy especially on a lower recoiling rifle. It's really not worth anything as far as resale value as there have been a lot of improvements in low cost optics since 1982 especially in optical coatings.

I was looking at mounting to an AR-15. Are any particular scope rings better than any others at this level?
