Found this on the newsgroups:

I received two copies of this unwanted spam this
morning. The line at the bottom of the page that
says: "You are subscribed to this e-mail
newsletter because you are a member of
Handgun-Free America, Inc." is a damned lie. I
think it was Mark Twain that said that there were
three kinds of lies - Lies, Damned Lies, and
statistics. This covers all three... An attempt to
gather the third kind with the first two.

I suggest they be swamped with opposing mail... at
their postal address - their e-mail address and
their web site...

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

As a member of Handgun-Free America, your opinion
is important to us. So,
we're polling members on their opinions about gun
violence in America and their overall interest in
becoming more active in HFA. If you would fill out
the five-question survey that follows, we'll have
a better understanding of what activities you are
interested in.

All you have to do is hit 'reply' and send us your
responses!

Thank you so much for taking a minute or so to do
so.

"1. Do you believe gun violence in our country is:"

E. Due to government failures to catch, imprison and/or execute violent felons, and prohibitions on regular people being able to defend themselves.

"2. Which of the following approaches to ending gun violence do you support? (Select all that apply)"

E. Take violent criminals out of circulation.

F. Arm teachers, blacks, whites, Asians, Spanish speakers, gays, lesbians, Jews, gentiles, and all of the other normal people.

"3. Have you or someone close to you been the victim of gun violence?"

{Edited; changed to:} B. No, because he carried a firearm, openly or concealed. My father was a sworn and paid Law Enforcement Officer, and he came into contact with violent criminals on a regular basis. Some tried to hurt him. They failed. We all have the same right to self-defense.

"4. Do you find the HFA e-mail newsletter useful?"

A. I suppose so; your newsletter will keep normal people apprised of your insane plans to harm our country and her people.

"5. In what ways would you consider becoming more involved in the effort to reduce gun violence? (Select all that apply)"

D. Becoming a community organizer - for the NRA, JPFO, GOA and similar human rights organizations.

Additional comments/suggestions:
Handgun-Free America, HCI, nor any of the restrictive and unconstitutional firearms laws in place have not produced any positive results in their efforts to reduce violent crime. On the contrary, they have facilitated "criminal safe zones" such as schools, government offices and many commercial workplaces where only criminals will carry weapons and their victims are guaranteed to be defensless. You are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Should I write and ask them? "I'm an American; I'm writing to ask for information on how I can get my Free Handgun, too."

BAD Happy Bob! - I'd better go and stand in the corner (and dream). :neener:

I'm certain that later on, they'll release a news tidbit stating that 99% of americans polled agree that regulation is the best way to reduce gun violence.

The poll is completely laughable, and no valid conclusions can come from it.
