Deer season has been out for almost 2 weeks now. Today I saw 3 bobcats together. I got a hog the other day. The woods are "alive" again as few bother with small game season so I pretty much have the woods to myself. Haven't seen any good bucks, but they should be coming out soon.

I want to get another big bobcat and some yotes too.

Yeah, 351, squirrel season is the bees knees. I don't have to make any long term plans, and I can be outdoors as much as I want when I want. The season's almost five months long, so if I can't go on a day off, there will be plenty of opportunities later on.

Great for scouting new land and just getting out of town. I think I am going on a couple two day camping trips/squirrel hunting trips in the Oauchita Nat'l Forest. I grew up hunting in south Arkansas, but man there is some beautiful country just a few minutes west of me.

I have sworn revenge on the abundance of squirrels and snipe birds that made a ton of noise during deer season that covered the approach of a 6-point buck with a harem of does snuck on my left side; they caught me setting up a shot down the trail in front of me and took off before I could swing the rifle and get a clean shot; I could have picked off 6 - 10 squirrels & 2 chipmunks with my .22 mag along with a whole slew of snipes with a shotgun
