Found it at local pawnshop (in the South mind you, where the pawnshop is like a corner market). Stainless M66, in really nice mechanical and outward condition, full wood grips and 4 inch barrel. Considering what local real gun shops would probably charge (at least $100 more) and the fact that all the arms at this location all seemed in very respectable condition, I'd say this is a surefire winner. Anyone agree?

In houses it's location, location, location.
In guns it's condition, condition, condition.
If it's in nice shape, that price would be a winner.
Look it over throughly, and if it seems to be in good mechanical and cosmetic shape, GO FOR IT.

In my neck of the woods & depending on condition, that $270 price sounds like a deal ;)

Sounds like a great price. I paid $275.00 for mine. It is mint condition and had a hammer and trigger job. Very light trigger pull in double or single action.:D

The first of this month, I bought a new M66-6 6" from a Texas dealer, CDNN, for $350 new - and that is the price that most shops here want for a paperweight version used one. Yes, $275 is a great deal - if it is tight. My 6" M66 is - but it was new (made in January) - and you may not want a 6". It also came with a Redfield scope rail and rings.

I paid $250 for mine. It was a friend's duty gun as a police officer. So, it is not in perfect condition, but it is stainless so the little dings here and there could be easily polished out. I personally don't care because it would end up with those little dings from my use anyway. I think $275 is a decent price. Mine is a real shooter. Out of all my S&W revolvers, this one stands out as exceptionally accurate. This is probably due to the individual gun rather than to the model.
