i bought a brand new KA-bar with a resin&plastic handle, it has a 10 inch black blade (not the military style curved blade) i paid $60 for it at an outdoors store and was wondering if i got ripped off

Maybe a few dollars high, don't stress over it. Although it is a good idea to pre-check. Do you like it?

Yeah, don't worry about a few dollars, only if you like the knife. In the years to come, and you get alot of good use out of the knife, the value of the knife will increase by an amount that has nothing to do with money. How do you put a value on a piece of gear that has become an old trusted friend on outdoor adventures?

If the knife works well, and you like it, and it meets all your expectations, then you got a deal!

it is not the bowie it is the marines style combat knife.
it doesn't have the curved blade though
