I have seen this site before. It is quite an accurate portrayal of the dnagers posed by firearms. Too bad the antis don't get it!

Do guns cause violence and crime?

Dunno.

Do video cameras cause pornography and rape?

Do eating utensils cause obesity and eating disorders?

The more interesting question would be:

Do liberals cause ignorance?

Do liberals cause ignorance? They spread it, suffer from it and revel in it!

Do Guns Cause Crime and Violence?

If guns caused crime and violence, my neighborhood would look like downtown Beirut and I wouldn't be able to go to the bathroom without getting mugged.

No, but if one is inclined to crime and violence, guns can be a fairly efficient tool for perpetrating same. As has often been pointed out, assault is a behavior, not a device.

You gotta keep an eye on those things.

Better yet, buy some more, get 'em off the streets and keep 'em locked up when not out causing violence to paper targets.:)

No.

A gun is an enableing tool in the hands of Violent Criminals.

Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than all my guns *

* except maybe my M-1, and Mosin-Nagant M-44. I can't say what they did before residing with me.

Of COURSE they cause crime. Why just the other day I saw a gorgeous new Sig Sauer P220 that threatened to make me write a bad check...

I'd heard about the site, but never had a link to it. Of course it looks still. When it starts moving on its own I'll get worried.

Do spoons cause Rosie to be fat?? Yes!! To say that an inanimate object "causes" violence is quite rediculous; of course that doesn't really stop [them] from saying it.

If guns caused violence, then blame the sutlers for selling guns to the Indians. Little wonder there was a constant westward expansion in this country. Gee, guess that's why there was that family feud called World War I too. Going back even earlier, didn't Frederick the Great grab Silesia from Maria Theresa just so he could have more soldiers?

Spartan expansionism & conquest of their neighbors on the Peloponnesian peninsula is about the only legitimate one I can think of. Nope, that doesn't count. Spartans didn't use guns, but dey wudda if'n dey haddem.

:fire: If guns cause crime, it therefore follows that restricting them would reduce crime, afterall look at how successful this has been in England.
