I have an old double barrel side by side, it looks to be a 12 Ga. This weapon has highly detailed engraving of a Fox, duck, and Pheasant.

The stock is also nicely checkered and of high quality wood. The fore stock has a V shaped wedge that has been inlaid with what appears to be some kind of polished horn.

Not quiet sure where it's from, it has a name engraved and inlaid with what appears to be silver, about 2" forward of the breach between the barrels on a raised ridge that is also engraved in a repeating pattern. Name appears to be Deutsch.

The weapon is beautiful and well balanced. Not interested in selling, but could use some advice on where to have it appraised for Insurance. Thank you in advance.

God bless
John C.

I'm looking forward to the photos, that raised ridge intrigues me. You don't mean the rib, do you?

BTW, Holland is very much part of Europe!

Well I guess it's called a rib then.

I meant Deutsch. I think that's how it's spelled.

We also need all the markings as they appear. any symbols, described them the best you can, if there is a name on it , what is it?
