Problem with Walther P22

My wife recently bought a Walther P22. She took it out for it's first range session, and after only 100 rounds, we found we had a problem. A roll pin near the manual safety tends to work it's way out through the left side, just enough so the safety can be engaged, but cannot be put back on to fire without forcefully pushing the pin back in. This happened at least three times in our 100 round range session.
For reference, I believe it is part #32 on the following website: http://www.carl-walther.de/Ersatzteil/P22_Ersatzteil.pdf
Also, it is circled red on the attached photo.
Anybody else have this difficulty? We plan to bring it back to the local gun shop to have it made right.

Yea, I think this is common, Personally, I would VERY carfully apply a dab of super glue to the opposing side., and forget the gunshop. I know, you shoulnt have to do this, but it's kinda a fact of life these day's with gun's of this fodder. If you don't like this, stay away from kel-tec's, they allmost allway's need tweeking right out of the box. :D

Yeah I've heard of people having this problem with their P22s. If I remember right under warranty Walther would swap the pin out for a larger one to fix the problem.

I had a problem like this with my p22. After about 1200 rounds or so, the saftey would fall and engage after a shot. I sent it back and the saftey was replaced under warranty. I since have about another 2000 rounds through it, and not one problem. I know it sucks to have to send a new gun back to be fixed right away, they will fix it, it seems alot of people have had this problem.

I have a pair of these little pistols and neither has had any problems witht he roll pin above the safety "walking" out.
My early s/n model wasn't 100% with all ammo, so I called S&W's service dept. They advised that both the pistol and mags had been upgraded since mine was built. They sent me a prepaid FedEx shipping label, I sent them the pistol and both mags. Two weeks later I got my pistol back along with two new mags (part number embossed on side of mags now have a "-A" suffix).
It now feeds everything, just like my later s/n pistol.
Good luck.

Mine is ammo sensitive.
-No pins coming out though.-
When I called Walther USA, they offered to send the prepaid label to me too.
(I'll probably take them up on it.)
Call them and let them fix it free of charge.

Don't understand your comment keederdag.
The Walther is a quality .22.
About the same cost as a Ruger or Browning .22.
I would say the quality compares with those guns.
The offer of a free shipping label scores brownie points with me.
