After a day of shooting my Dads 742 we decided he needs a new rifle. He's looking for a Mod 700 in .308 now the question is what is the difference between an ADL and a BDL? I know that I could look it up but from people who have owned them any real differences? Thanks.

ADL has a blind magazine, BDL a hinged floor plate.
ADL has a little less polish on the finish.
BDL has a much nicer stock.
ADL is right hand only.
Other than that they're about the same.

they are both available in synthetic stocks, but only the bdl can be had in stainless.

Even though both has a synthetic stock the bdl stock is more sturdy than the flimsy stock on th adl.
