Walther P5C frustration

Friend of mine has a Walther P5C, which I sold to him. Last few months his accuracy has been really off with this gun. I, too, do not seem to be able to shoot it as well as when I first bought it. It probably does not have more than 400 rds through it. But he's about to put it on the market.
I suggested trying a match grade barrel from Jarvis or someone. Anyone know who makes a quality barrel for this firearm??
We have tried a variety of ammunition without much improvement.

Take a look at the locking block. This is the part that really makes the accuracy repeatable, since the barrel and slide don't really interact as on a Browning lockup pistol. This part also takes the most abuse. Just a thought.
I doubt a new barrel (if you could find one) would help. Walther makes excellent barrels.

Not doubting your shooting ability or that of your friend's but, let me ask you this.
Just how bad are the fired groups?
Have you tried "benching" the pistol with the best quality ammo that you have to eliminate human error as much as possible?
I agree that Walther makes excellent barrels and don't think a barrel change is in order.
Good luck. :)
