While the issue has been hotly debated in recent years, considerable research in an international context suggests that there is a relationship between access to firearms and deaths and injuries caused by firearms.

Unfortunately, the abstract left out a couple minor factors. It should have read:

While the issue has been hotly debated in recent years, considerable research in an international context suggests that there is a relationship between access to firearms by criminals and tyrants and deaths and injuries caused by firearms.

What the goons didn't want to notice is the suicide rates in Japan, or the US, or Finland as a whole and draw their conclusions.

If they, they'd note that at least as many people in Japan die on their own as in Switzerland. If not more. However, the Swiss suicide rates are higher than the US suicide rates. The reason for this is not known....

And if you want to kill yourself - we have many high bridges here.

Moreover, the complexity of other variables, such as cultural differences, socio-economic conditions or other factors, adds to the difficulty of demonstrating causal links.

What the heck is she babbling about here? Is she trying to imply that since the U.S has poor black people and Canada doesn't we have more firearm violence?

Even Moore in Bowling for Colmbine said that there are as many minorities percentage wise in Canada as in the U.S. (Though I think almost all Canadian minorities are other than African American).

Stupid racists!:fire:
