The US Revolver Company was a trade name used by Iver Johnson from 1910 until 1935 for lower-priced versions of their "safety hammer" revolvers, which makes me think that someone decided to "pimpify" their revolver after purchase. Pictures might help, but these normally didn't have much in the way of markings, other than "US Revolver Co" along the top of the barrel or topstrap.
