Here are a couple of pigs that I killed last week. Both were killed with my Blaser R-93 Professional Tracker in 308 loaded with a 165 gr Corelokt, 46.5 grs Varget, CCI 250 primer in Lapua brass.

I wish we had wild piggies in Massachusetts.
Actually, no you don't. They are a destructive nuisance and need to eradicated here. I spend hundreds of dollars a year hunting them and repairing the damage they do to my pastures.

Do you dress and eat them? I've never tried wild pig, but I do love pork.

When I kill this size pig, I do clean them, but I don't clean boars over 200 pounds. They are pretty nasty. Wild pig is still just pork.

Hey retrieverman where bouts do you reside out there in E Texas? Heck we have property in the Palestine area and also hunt around Midway and Marquez.
I can also double the doubt that they actually want hogs up north or anywhere else for that matter. They might be fun the first couple of months but after the litters start to drop and they begin eating and rooting everything in sight they would wish again.
Where did you pick that little rifle up? It almost looks to be as much fun as my Ruger Compact, and for hogs those short barrel .308's are just the ticket.
Congrats on the hogs keep up the good work. I got a couple weekend before last with my 454, what a hoot.

I am hunting just north of Nacogdoches.
As for the rifle, Blaser's are switch barrel guns, and I actually bought this gun in pieces.

Texas is plaqued with millions of piggies, as are forty other states being inundated to date. They are an invasive species, nearly impossible to irradicate. They are basically lean pork, but kill and eat fawns, eat all species of bird eggs, including turkey, and destroy farmland. They replace whitetails where they can by eating deer food with relish. "CARP of the SAGE," pigs must be shot on sight in Michigan and several other states. Pigs are an unnatural invasion upon the United States. cliffy

The group that I am hunting started out with 7 members (probably a litter), but it is now down to 4.

I have barrels for my R-93 in 22 lr, 6.5x55, 308, and 9.3x62. It is hands down the most useful tool in my safe. I actually have 3 Professional receivers, but the one in the picture is my favorite.
