380 going full auto

I had a Excam gt380xe brought to me to repair for miss fires. cleaned the trash out of f/p hole and test fired gun. luckey i only loaded 5rds,as it went full auto.
any suggestions as to why this happened? first one of these pistols i'v seen or worked on.

There are several possibilities. Since you worked on the firing pin hole, could the firing pin be jammed forward so it fires the primer when the slide closes? Check that first. Then check to be sure the firing pin spring is in place and working.

If all is OK in that area, check for the hammer either following the slide down or falling off the sear after the slide goes closed.

You should be able to test both cases with no ammo, just hold the trigger back, retract the slide and let it go.

It may be that the pistol is not disconnecting. If so, the hammer will not stay cocked when you operate the slide as above. IIRC the disconnector is in the left side of the frame and you have to take off the grip to see it. It should move freely up and down and when pushed down by the slide should disconnect the trigger bar from the sear, then let it reengage when the slide is forward and the trigger released. If the disconnector is working OK, check the sear and sear spring. The sear spring might be a little spring that looks like a short hairpin.
