I don't know the proper pronunciation, but I need to know how to say it.

If you pulled that brownie stuff with me I would make you go through it twice. Keep your mouth shut and concentrate on doing your best, Your being judged on performance not conversation. speak when spoken to and even then be brief and truthful.
Maybe they are kinder and gentler now, But they shouldn't be.

Let me rephrase the brownie points ideal. There are 54 cadets in our class, it was told to us today that someone better be able to say it right when we get gassed today.

I was unanimously nominated by the class since I came fairly close to making the correct pronunciation while reading out loud a section on oc and cs.

Technically, not really brownie points, just trying to keep myself and my fellow cadets from a double gassing.

If you're gonna get gassed anyway, where's the incentive to learn it? Now if you were to get a Survivor-style challenge immunity from getting hosed for saying it, that'd be different. :D

No one wanted to get gassed twice. That was the incentive.

"They call it team work" There will come a point in your training when you all will realize its a brotherhood, where you will look at "civilians" in a different way.
I am grateful to god to have experienced that brotherhood as a LEO, a paratrooper, and as a member of an M/C club. It is a common something you will keep with you always. As I get older I can recognize it in others without even asking. There people on this forum I know are my spoken and unspoken bothers. Again good luck, and keep yourself safe.

No snot trail for me, the only effects I got were burning in the nose similar to a jalapeno burn if you scratch your nose with the juice on your finger.

And my eyes were watering pretty good, but that was it for me.

Only a handful had the 6ft snot rope and one girl tossed the cookies. It was all over in about 10 minutes or so.
