Would there bullets be ok in a 30-30?

They are hard cast lead in .311"

If so, do they need to be re-sized, or are they fine to load as is?

Thanks.

They should work fine.

No need to resize if they will fit in your chamber after loading, which they probably will.

Only until you try to chamber them will you know if the bullet is too big to be OK, but I am willing to bet if you seat them so that they don't run into the leade all will be well... So much better to be on the big side (esp with micro groove), than too small. If the bullet will chamber properly, the barrel will take care of proper sizing anything over groove diameter.

I cast 150 grain bullets, and as I recall they are shot at .310"/.311". As you can see in this picture, the bullet has really good engraving evident by the large amount of scalloping at the base of the grooves.

About the only thing I don't like about the bullet linked is the very sharp bevel base, but until used this could be a complete non issue. Good luck.

I've shot plenty of similar bullets (master bullet meister) and never had a issue... Out of a '94.

if for a micro groove marlin you may want to opt for a bullet with a gas check

but at $16 per 100 I see no point in choosing them over jacketed or plated

or a much much better deal on cast with a gas check

I have loaded reduced power .311'' 124gr jacketed bullets for my 94 and never had any problems. I would't try to load full power jacketed .311'' bullets.

You will need to buy a Lyman type "M" expander so you dont shave lead on seating the bullet. The design is new to me, but should work ok at midrange velocity,1600 fps like said in ad. .311" is the diameter i size at for my 30-30 and 30-06 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=409943 IMO
