Snagged one of these on a impulse thinking it might be ok to throw on a strictly fun/noob gun, and what the heck, they have a good return policy as S.W., so why not check it out:

The Good: It does indeed have unlimited eye relief as advertised - interesting for a 2 power magnification dot sight.

The Bad (Minor issues): (a) Even though the objective lens is alleged to be 42mm, it's still a terribly small looking objective and small field of view - I guess that comes with the territory of being 2x, so arguably this is to be expected / not a downside, (b) Some moderate fishbowling going on - bah.

The Ugly (Major Issue): It's quite obvious that there is a huge amount (massive amount) of parallax error present in this bad boy - entirely unacceptable.

Needless to say, it's getting returned.

Had a friend who went through three of them before deciding the Huge, Massive amount of parallax error was a design feature!

Some folks are slow learners I guess!

TruGlo even told him it was a non-issue, and wouldn't do anything about it when he called them to complain!

rc, here was the conversation with the guy at customer service when I returned it for a refund at Sportsman's warehouse:

"What's wrong with it?"

"Well it's either defective or of poor quality"

"What do you mean?"

"It's got a huge amount of parallax error."

"Hmmm, I thought that with red dots, parallax doesn't matter."

"Ummm, no, it MATTERS - maybe what you're thinking of is that with red dots, they're SUPPOSED to be parallax-free, or virtually parallax free."

[shrugs shoulders] "OK".

They didn't mind because I then turned around and spent over $500 the same day on other optics.

"Some moderate fishbowling going on "
Heard it explained as "looking through a straw-through a fishbowl"(that exact optic)
That can't be good.

I have the 2x Truglo setting in my safe. it is a real POS. I also have this 2x Aimpoint and have used it on everything from handguns to black rifles. It has a very small dot and is better on a rifle than handgun, but is a high quality peice.
