So far I have the stock on it and the side saddle and the fore end is modded to fit and work with the sidesaddle. I have the A2 BUIS sights and have a red dot on the way.
Here's what it'll lok like when I am finished.

It looks nice, but it also looks too heavy.

I actually prefer a little more weight than stock on an 870 but truely, when I finish it will only be about 2lbs heavier than stock.

OK, I'll accept that!:)
I once had a SPAS 12 I bought new sometime in the early to mid 80's.

That thing was such an awkward, heavy thing, I'm glad I got rid of it!
Although, now I wish I had it as it is probably worth well over the $280 or so I paid for it.
Oh well, live and learn. Never get rid of your firearms, for any reason!

Cool looking 870:)
Doesn't look heavy, just expensive....

Expensive as in about $700.00 including the price of the gun since I probably will not use en EOTech on it but a little less expensive red dot.

Nice, I have seen that pic before. On a tacti-cool website I think.
Is yours going to have the 12" barrel like that one ?

Nope, 20.

I think that one in the pic is a 14.5, but mine is a 20. And it was, ATI.

Please let us know what red dot you get for it and how it holds up to 12 ga. recoil. I'm genuinely interested to know.

Would the OP or some other knowledgeable and gracious THR soul provide a parts list / link[s] for this build ?

It won't handle well and you will grow tired of it.

Hmmm. 7 lb gun + 2 pounds + 10 rounds
You have yourself a 10 lb shotgun my friend. Carry that for 3 days of a tactical shotgun class. Sore hands sore arms.

I've seen all sorts of trijicons on shot guns before, as well as some red dots on them, maybe some handle better then others, I've never tried putting any kind of sight on a shotgun.
and I have to ask what is the goofy metal loop for on the spas?...it looks like a coat hanger.

MAX100, I gotta agree, 20" barrel? Front heavy...
How do get $700 for that? The dealer list on the Eotech is over $350.
That leaves about $350 for the rest of the gun.
BUIS, rail, flip up front sight, pistol grip, collapsable stock, mag. extension, side saddle, anti walk receiver pins.....whoooosh, that adds up.
Unless you're going cheap knock offs you're way over $700. If you are going knock offs then you'll grow tired of it 'cause it won't stay together for long.

I built one very similar. Very cool. I also added a lasermax 1202. Heavy as heck though.
But congrats on the new tactical!!!

On the SPAS 12, that loop went three different ways, for whatever reason.
The gun also was either semi-automatic or pump. I had to use pump many times, as the semi-auto did not work well with certain shotgun shells. Even then, the pump was so awkward to use. I think the gun was 12+ pounds!

I decided to not go Eotech because of the price, and there are a lot of "good enough" red dots out there for under 200 bucks. Also, I had a M1 Super 90 and it was heavier than this thing is. It feels lighter and handles better for me than the M1 did. Plus, I only will be using it for fun three gun matches and SD. Allready took tac shotgun at Gunsite with my last 870 that was just as heavy, had no problems at all.
