My favorite local store just got in a Ruger MK II Target on trade. He's gonna put it out at just under $250. It's in pretty nice shape with one flaw: some numb nuts drilled and taped a scope rail on to and and didn't get it aligned with the barrel, it still has the rear sight though.

I've been keeping an eye out for a MK II lower for a NFA project I've been thinking about, not sure about how to fix the crappy workmanship on the current upper though.

Don't touch it. Look around some more. I recently found a perfect MKII target for $299.

Gunbroker has several, and they'll all probably sell for more than $250. If you're sure you can live with (or recover from) the hack job, it's probably not a bad price.

I'd stay away from the hacked pistol. Keep your eyes open for a better deal. Be patient.
