[TX1911fan]

I just got a Teknys Field and it's spectacular. I ordered a Briley replacement magazine cap to avoid the seizing issue, and it looks like it will work well. It comes apart easily for cleaning. The only problem is that it is black and blue, and doesn't really match the gun. Even if it was green, it would at least match the enamel inserts. So, any ideas on how I can change the color? I've thought about going all black just like the old one, and if I do that is it as easy as just using some flat black spray paint?

I also though about having it hard chromed to match the brushed look of the receiver. If so, any suggestions on where to send it for that work?

The one I have is the blue one (except that it is black on the bottom)

Before you suggest that I just trade it for the one I like, I did not buy this from Briley, so I'm not sure they'll exchange it. I am checking with them on it.

Call the guys at Briley. They do the anodizing in house, and maybe they can accomdate you......or they could surely polish one silver;)
