Someone has to go way back in the old manuals for that bullet. It hasn't been made for a long time. I heard that they were not that accurate from a standard 270 Win.
I don't have access to my old Speer manual right now.
I suggest looking at the www.hodgdon.com data as they do show loads for 180gr Barnes. If you use the starting loads for the 180gr and work up, you should be safe. Your going to need a very slow powder for best results.

Thanks goes out toNCsmitty,JimKirk, and .280 shooter for the help with the 170gr loads for the .270 win.
I have shot the 270 win for over 40 years and have never tried the 170gr. I have three boxes of them and the price tag says Buttreys and the price is $4.99, so you know how old they are.

wow....$5 a box.
One of the many things I wished I had experienced in the past. Cheap gas and cheap guns/ammo.
Watched a documentary about the JFK assassination, showed a sales flyer for the rifle Oswald bought. Price was $19.95 for a rifle......
$25 and you can have a nice evening sighting in your new rifle.....
